These cakes were made for Meridian, celebrating three baby showers and a wedding.
I used beautiful real flowers and ribbon on each one.
Somehow I managed to finish all three in under 8 hours, the same amount of time it usually takes me to finish just one!

This is a 10" vanilla cake with white chocolate raspberry buttercream.

Here's an 8" chocolate cake with peanut butter chocolate buttercream.

This is a 6" lemon cake with a delicious pineapple lemon buttercream.

Happy 17th Brittany!

Here's a 3 layer vanilla cake made for a good friend's 17th birthday.

Although this golfer is meant to resemble the birthday girl, it's not completely accurate... Brittany's shots always go in on the first try! (:

A cake welcoming my newest cousin Norah Grace into the family!
This one is two layers of Black Forest cake with a vanilla layer in between.

Here's some chocolate cupcakes I made to go along with a school History project.
Our group was doing a presentation on Louis Riel, hence the mustaches.

Square chocolate cupcakes wrapped in ribbon for a friend and her cousin to celebrate their birthdays.

Happy Birthday to my bird-loving Grandma Schmidt! Love you lots :)

These I made for my beautiful friend Jolene's very cute kids Cole and Payton and their friends Koen and Katelyn for their birthdays.

Happy Birthday Danielle!

A cake to welcome Cam back to Canada from his photography school in Germany.
Even the camera is edible!

My first custom cake customer!
Happy birthday to Nya the violinist, Ryan who loves Dora, and Liam the Canucks' biggest fan!

My own birthday cake.. made very last minute, only a few hours before the party!

My first try at a cake with more than one tier. Made for Yvette the fashionista's 43rd birthday (:

Not too shabby for a first attempt at making a fondant cake.
Happy birthday Auntie Bonnie!

the First Post

Today I decided to create a blog to share with my friends and family the cakes I've been making over the past six months and any future concoctions.  Enjoy (:
